Building new recovery pathways for non-reusable textiles

The future of fibre-to-fibre recycling depends on more than infrastructure. It depends on creating reliable, scalable, efficient and economically viable supplies of post-consumer textiles.

That’s why we’ve been working closely with Biffa, drawing on their expertise in resource management and innovation for circularity. Through strategic advice and industry insight, Biffa has supported Circle-8 in navigating a challenging external environment and further developing its proposition for the recovery and recycling of non-reusable textiles.

Together we’re exploring the recovery, logistics and transparent systems needed to create high-volume, low-cost feedstock to supply fibre-to-fibre recycling at industrial scale.

Because circular materials will only scale when recovery, sorting, recycling and manufacturing become part of the same system working collaboratively to drive new and economically viable flows of non-reusable textiles into recycling.
