ATSP DEVELOPMENT
The UK's first high volume, fully automated textiles sorting and pre-processing facilities
Automated Sorting and Preprocessing (ATSP) facilities are the key to unlocking chemical and mechanical recycling of textiles. This service does not exist at scale today.
Chemical and mechanical recycling need high volume, sorted, consistent, low-cost feedstock.
We are driving the design, build and commissioning of a network of automated sorting and pre-processing facilities for non-reusable textiles, bringing together the best in technologies.

AUTOMATED TEXTILE SORTING & PREPROCESSING
The ATSPs bring three major steps in pre-processing non-reusable textiles.
These facilities will make high quality, consistent feedstock for fibre-to-fibre mechanical and chemical recyclers, to their individual specifications.
The ATSP will be digitised enabling full transparency and reporting to suppliers and customers.
Phase 1
Fibre detection
Phase 2
Disruptor removal
Phase 3
Cutting to size

ATSP PRODUCTS
Expanding existing and creating new markets.
ATSPs will sell fibre sorted whole garments as feedstock, as well as pre-processed feedstock made from garments that have been through fibre sorting, size reduction and disruptor removal steps. ATSP feedstock products will be available across an array of fibre compositions, ranging from 100% cotton to 100% polyester and everything in between, including poly/cotton blends, wool and acrylic, with varying tolerance levels of other fibres.
